The big money is already rolling in for Black Caviar to win the BTC Cup with Sportingbet Australia taking a bet of $50,000 at $1.25 on the unbeaten mare.
Sportingbet Australia CEO Michael Sullivan said Black Caviar was the only one punters had wanted in early betting and she was now into $1.20.
“Punters will simply not hear of Black Caviar being beaten in the BTC Cup and she will be another strip out if she wins again on Saturday,†Sullivan said.
“She has been better than bank interest for punters so far winning twelve from twelve and they think lucky thirteen is a formality.
“Plenty of punters have been on her the whole way through or for at least the last half dozen wins and they sticking with her.â€
Hay list is on the second line of betting at $5.00 after giving Black Caviar a scare in the T.J. Smith and dominating the All Aged Stakes but Sullivan said punters couldn’t see him turning the tables.
“He had a big lead on Black Caviar in the T.J. but she ended up putting 3 lengths on him so it is hard to see how he can turn it around.,†he said.
“He has been the only other runner to attract any support with a bet of $2000 and another of $1000 at $6.00 but it pales into insignificance given the money wagered on Black Caviar.â€
